“I didn’t choose the craft — the craft chose me.”

My name is Kati, and I am a fashion designer, tailor, and creative visionary with over 20 years of hands-on experience in couture, custom tailoring, stagewear, and theatrical costume. Every stitch I make is rooted in a lifelong relationship with fabric, form, and the human story.
I grew up in a family where sewing was second nature. My grandmothers and my mother all sewed — not as a hobby, but as a way of life. At the age of five, I was already sitting beside my grandmother, learning how to guide the needle with purpose. I started by making soft toys. Then, I made clothes for dolls. Then, I began cutting into tablecloths, curtains, old clothes — anything I could find — just to create. I was obsessed with transformation. Even then, I saw fabric not as material, but as potential.
As a child, I dreamed of becoming a flight attendant. But life had other plans — and so did my mother. She enrolled me in a vocational school to become a seamstress. What began as an accident quickly became a passion. I later pursued a diploma as a fashion designer and garment constructor, blending my skills in sketching, construction, and creative vision.
By my early twenties, I was already taking custom orders at home, sewing for friends, working in production studios, and eventually, running my own atelier in Ukraine. It started with one — and then there were three. Over the years, I dressed performers, public figures, actors, dancers, and clients across the country.
The Career
From Lugansk to Kyiv, my name traveled through word of mouth. My clients spoke for me. And they spoke loudly.
I designed costumes for concerts, theatrical performances, national competitions, and high-end fashion shows. My collections were showcased at events and competitions across Ukraine. I was invited to design for people who trusted only excellence — and I delivered, every single time.
Working with creative professionals, I learned to shape identity through fabric. Whether it was an elegant gown for a private celebration or a stage costume that needed to move, breathe, and shine under the lights — I treated every garment as a one-of-a-kind statement.
At the height of my career in Kyiv — Ukraine’s vibrant capital — my atelier became a hub of creativity and trust. Every dress, suit, or piece that left our studio had a story. A voice. A presence.

Then the war came.
In 2022, my family and I were forced to leave everything behind: our home, our business, our community. Three ateliers. Years of work. A legacy.
We arrived in the UK with nothing but experience, talent, and the will to rebuild.
The first three years were about healing — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We took time. We listened. We watched. And now, standing on new ground, we are ready.
We’re opening our atelier in London.
This is not just about starting over.
It’s about bringing something rare to the London fashion scene — not a trend, not a mass brand, but a soul-driven, precision-crafted, fiercely personal service where every detail is a decision, every stitch is a philosophy, and every client is treated like the only one.

Our philosophy
We don’t make clothes — we make presence.
We don’t follow trends — we create character.
We don’t cut corners — we shape silhouettes that feel inevitable.
Our atelier is small by choice. We don’t scale, we don’t outsource, we don’t compromise. Every piece is made under our hands, under our eyes, and with full creative accountability.
Because when you wear something truly made for you, you don’t walk into a room — you own it.

This is our hour.
We’ve lived through transformation — now we use it.
We’ve seen the world fall apart — and now we’re building beauty again, from the inside out.
If you’re ready to wear something that speaks louder than words — we’re ready to make it.
Welcome to our world.
Welcome to K&K Couture — where every piece is personal.
